I had the opportunity to record Joe McPhee (reeds), along with Jason Adasiewicz (vibes), Ken Vandermark (reeds), and Michael Zerang (drums) at The Hideout in Chicago.

Recorded another session of Topology (Ken Vandermark’s arrangement of some of Joe McPhee’s compositions) at Elastic in Chicago. The ensemble consists of Jason Adasiewicz (vibes), Josh Berman (cornet), Jeb Bishop (trombone), Tim Daisy (drums), Kent Kessler (bass), Fred Lonberg-Holm (cello), Joe McPhee (horns), Dave Rempis (sax), and Ken Vandermark (reeds).

The evening’s opening set consisted of a duo by Jason Adasiewicz (vibes) and Mats Gustafsson (sax) at The Sugar Maple in Milwaukee.

Recorded Made to Break for the second time this year, as part of Okka Fest 3 at The Sugar Maple in Milwaukee. This time the original trio (Tim Daisy-drums, Devin Hoff-bass, Ken Vandermark-reeds) was joined by Christof Kurzmann (electronics).
06.12.2011- Chicago Double Quartet
Recorded a rare performance of the Chicago Double Quartet (Jim Baker-piano/keyboard/electronics, Jeb Bishop-rombone/electronics, Steve Hunt-drums, Kent Kessler-bass, Dave Rempis-sax, Brian Sandstrom-bass/guitar/trumpet, Mars Williams-sax/etc., Michael Zerang-drums) to close out Okka Fest 3 at The Sugar Maple in Milwaukee.

Was booked last minute to record The Engines (Jeb Bishop-trombone/electronics, Tim Daisy-drums, Nate McBride-bass, Dave Rempis-sax) at The Hideout in Chicago.
06.22.2011- Lonberg-Holm’s Fast Citizens
Was asked to do a very last minute recording of the third night’s performance of Fred Lonberg-Holm’s Fast Citizens (Josh Berman-cornet, Anton Hatwich-bass, Keefe Jackson-reeds, Fred Lonberg-Holm-cello/guitar, Frank Rosaly-drums, Aram Shelton-reeds) at The Hideout in Chicago.
