02.06.2013-  Tromans Trio

Recorded the Steve Tromans Trio (Miles Levin-drums, Chris Mapp-bass, Steve Tromans-piano) at The Hideout in Chicago, kicking off the Birmingham-Chicago Exchange series.  The group was joined by guest Ken Vandermark on reeds for the second piece.

Recorded the second set of the Birmingham-Chicago Exchange (Jason Adasiewicz-vibes, Mark Sanders-drums, Ken Vandermark-reeds) at The Hideout in Chicago.

Recorded various combinations of the Birmingham-Chicago Exchange at Elastic in Chicago.  Members included Josh Berman (cornet), James Falzone (clarinet), Miles Levin (drums), Chris Mapp (bass), Dave Rempis (reeds), Mark Sanders (drums), and Steve Tromans (piano).

Recorded the final two sets of the Birmingham-Chicago Exchange series at The Hungry Brain in Chicago.  All six featured pieces were world-premiere compositions by Steve Tromans, written specifically for this event, with these musicians in mind:
