11.18.2014-  Barilari’s Diasporas

Recorded the musical and vocal composition Diasporas, written and conducted by Elbio Barilari, at the Harold Washington Library in Chicago.  Musicians included Volcano Radar (Elbio Barilari-guitar/viola, Tim Davis-drums, Julia Miller-guitar/synthesizer, Rollo Radford-bass), Axiom Brass (Kris Hammond-trumpet, Kevin Harrison-tuba, Orin Larson-trombone, Matthew Opilhant-French horn, Dorival Puccini-trumpet), Lou Ciccatelli (percussion), Andy Cohn (piano), and Jim Gailloreto (sax).  Yasen Peyankov performed spoken word.

Recorded one set of the Frode Gjerstad Trio (Frode Gjerstad-reeds, Paal Nilssen-Love-percussion, Jon Rune Strom-bass), who were joined by Steve Swell (trombone) at Constellation in Chicago.
