Recorded two sets of Dee Alexander’s Evolution Ensemble at Constellation in Chicago.  Members were Dee Alexander (vocals), Yussef Ernie Adams (percussion), Scott Hesse (guitar), Junius Paul (bass), Tomeka Reid (cello), and Edward Wilkerson (reeds/oud).

12.20.2015-  Testa’s Ultraviolet

Recorded the performance of Carl Testa’s expanded “Ultraviolet”, featuring his electronic processing of a clarinet ensemble (James Falzone-Bb, Aaron Getsug-contra alto, Keefe Jackson-contra bass, Jeff Kimmel-bass, Jennifer Woodrum-Bb) at Constellation in Chicago.

As part of the 25th anniversary celebration of Hamid Drake and Michael Zerang’s winter solstice concerts, I recorded a set by the trio of Harrison Bankhead (bass), Ari Brown (reeds/piano) and Hamid Drake (percussion) at Constellation.

The 25th anniversary of Hamid Drake and Michael Zerang’s winter solstice concerts continued, as I recorded a set of Michael Zerang’s Blue Lights (Josh Berman-cornet, Kent Kessler-bass, Dave Rempis-reeds, Mars Williams-reeds, Michael Zerang-percussion) at Constellation.

Recorded another night of Hamid Drake and Michael Zerang’s winter solstice series at Constellation in Chicago.  This set featured Jim Baker (piano/ARP synthesizer), Kent Kessler (bass), Fred Lonberg-Holm (cello/electric guitar), and Michael Zerang (percussion).

Continued recording the winter solstice series at Constellation in Chicago with a set by Joshua Abrams (bass/guimbri), Jason Adasiewicz (vibes/balafon), and Hamid Drake (percussion).

12.23.2015-  Tsukasa Taiko

Recorded the final night of the Drake/Zerang 25th solstice concert anniversary celebration at Constellation in Chicago, beginning with a coordinated taiko performance of Tsukasa Taiko, led by Tatsu Aoki.

12.23.2015-  Solstice Orchestra

Closed out the Drake/Zerang 25th anniversary solstice celebration at Constellation with a recording of the Solstice Orchestra.  Improv was conducted by Joshua Abrams and Tatsu Aoki, and included Joshua Abrams (bass), Tatsu Aoki (strings/percussion), Jim Baker (ARP/viola), Josh Berman (cornet), Hamid Drake (percussion), Mars Williams (reeds), Michael Zerang (percussion), and several others.
