Began a three-day recording project for ECM Records, featuring Roscoe Mitchell and various musicians at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Chicago. Documented several rehearsals in the museum’s theatre space in the morning.  Later that afternoon, relocated my gear to a gallery featuring the “percussion cage”, which was created by Roscoe and stands as the signature piece of The Freedom Principle: Experiments in Art and Music, 1965 to Now, an exhibit celebrating the 50-year anniversary of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM).

Day 2 began early, as Roscoe Mitchell wanted to record two composed pieces in one of the galleries at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Chicago.  Afterward, moved back down to the theatre and recorded a few more hours of rehearsals.

Recorded the working session of Ten x Ten at Constellation in Chicago.  Ten artists collaborated with ten musicians, in ten minute segments.   Artists were: Salvador Andrade Arévalo, Jerome Bryerton, Uriel Correa, Rob Funderburk, Trevor Goosen, Andrew Holmquist, Hannah Ireland, Vesna Jovanovic, Alexander Stewart, and Cynthia Weiss.  Musicians were: Josh Berman (cornet), Paul Giallorenzo (piano), Anton Hatwich (bass), Keefe Jackson (reeds), Peter Maunu (guitar), Eli Namay (bass), Ryan Packard (vibes/percussion), Cameron Pfiffner (reeds/flute), Jason Stein (reeds), and Phil Sudderberg (drums).
